Today, I am going to share sweet roses and spicy leaves cookies. I hope you all will like it and try it, as per the taste it is so tasty and looks eye-catchy. It is also healthy. Today we must not waste our time, so let’s start the Rose Cookies recipe.
- Gulkand – 1/4 Cup
- All-purpose flour – 1 Cup
- Rose Essence – 5 drops
- Baking Soda – 1/4 tsp
- Baking Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Curd – 1/4 Cup
- Sugar or honey – 1/4 Cup
- Ghee (room temperature) – 1 1/2 tsp
If you are making sweet rose cookies, then use Sugar or honey in the dough. To make cookies mix all dry ingredients all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda, now I will add curd, rose essence, and 1 tsp ghee into it. Mix the dough well and keep aside for 15 min to rest.
Now I am going to bake cookies on my thick bottom pan you can make as per your choice can be oven or microwave. I will retain the pan on a very low flame for preheating. Till pan heat well, I will flatten the dough with the help of roller and now spread some and dry flour on the top of the flatten dough. Spread it well, cut belt shapes and roll all the belt and then flatten the roll diagonally. Now in the flatten area to fill the gulkand and close the portion.
Now grease the pan and keep all the roses for the baking and cover with the lid. Bake it in very low flame for 7 to 10 min, when the first side has done nice brown, flip it, if needed and keep it for 7 to 10 min. Ones it is done, decorate with some of the sugar powder or honey I used honey. That’s a great feeling to see these roses. The taste and flavor are mouth-watering, can feel for long.
Note: If you are not able to bake you can shallow fry the roses.
Spicy Leaves Cookies: Today’s, our next recipe holds spicy leaves cookies. In these cookies, we will use Methi (Fenugreek ) leaves for the flower with some pickle masala. As soon as I heard pickle masala and methi recipe, I feel so excited to make and taste it because this combination is so tempting and famous in India. So, collect from the kitchen:
- Methi leaves – 1/2 Cup
- Bengal gram flour – 1/2 cup
- Wheat flour – 1/2 Cup
- Pickle masala – 2 tsp
- Jaggery – 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable oil – 3 tsp
- Baking powder – 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda- 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
First, take methi leaves in a mixing bowl, add Bengal gram flour and wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda mix well with 2 tsp of room temperature oil. Ones it is mixed correctly add pickle masala, jaggery and salt to taste (while adding salt be careful because pickle masala also holds salt) mix the things well and add little water to make the little harder dough, mash it well.
Ones it is done, flatten the dough and cut leaf shape with a cutter, I don’t have accordingly, I will cut with a knife. Now grease the pan, set all cut leaves. Grease it on the top of the leaves, and bake it. From both sides, it is toasted to make it cool and serves it with crunchy, juice roses.
These crunchy and juice rose cookies compliment spicy leave cookies. Try it ones I am sure you will admire the combination.
