Methi is a green leafy vegetable that is also known as fenugreek leaves. In India, this comes in the market in winter. By nature, methi is hot. It is high in fiber, iron, calcium, potassion, protein. Fenugreek is rich in nutrients. It does vastly add to Indian cuisine to enhance the flavor and taste. Methi greens are uses in Indian recipes like daal and vegetable.

Kasuri methi is a dried version of methi leaves. We used Kasuri Methi or Fenugreek Seeds as a spice for flavor enhancers. The leaves have an earthy, grassy, and slightly sweet aroma and are a bit bitter to the taste, and that is enhanced while drying methi.

How to make Kasuri Methi at home?

Pluck the leaves of fenugreek herb and discard its stem. Now thoroughly clean, and place the fenugreek leaves on a microwave-safe tray. Two minutes later, pick out that tray. Your Kasuri Methi is ready to use.

Fenugreek uses in various forms like the green herb, Kasuri methi, seeds, and sprouts. Methi used in-home remedies. Methi may help to support the digestive system and get relief in menstrual pain. Methi is useful to cure, joint pain I used to give my parents to reduce the authorities’ pain. Methi may help to decrease sugar levels.

How to Consume:

Fenugreek is Pittakarak, reduce Vata, and Cough pain. We can consume in daal, vegetables, mix spice, mix herbs, gravy, curry, pickles, sauces, medicines and so on, you name it, and I add it.

Headache: If you consume too much methi, then you can have a headache problem.

Joint pain: If you have joint pain in the rainy season or winter season, then you must consume fenugreek seeds powder in the morning with warm water.

Sugar: If you have high sugar, then you must consume daily soaked fenugreek seeds in an empty stomach.

Menstrual pain: If you are having menstrual pain, then consume soaked seeds or powder to get relief from menstrual pain.

Constipation: If you are facing a constipation problem, then you must consume soaked seeds daily morning and bedtime with warm water.

How to Store:

Green Methi should use fresh. Kasuri Methi should store in an airtight container and refrigerate it. Fenugreek seeds should store in an airtight container. Sprouts should use fresh, or most can store in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
