Bay leaf have one other name is laurel leaf,  A popular spice used in pickling and marinating and to flavor stews, stuffing’s and in different cousin’s in different ways, bay leaves are delicately fragrant but have a bitter taste. Fresh or dried bay leaves are used in cooking for their distinctive flavor and fragrance. There are several types of Bay leaves Turkish (1 to 2 inch long oval) , California (2 to 3 inch long narrow), Indian bay leaf, Indonesian bay leaf or Indonesian laurel, West Indian bay leaf and Mexican bay leaves. Bay leaves are two types having one strong string and other one have three strong strings. They contain high in vitamin A and calcium but they may have good quantity of carbohydrates, dietary fiber, protein and fat. This leaves should be removed from the cooked food before eating because after cooking also these leaves are so hard if you remove before serving it is safe to eat, its hardness won’t harm internal part of mouth and throat.

Bay leaves are kind of antioxidant and have good ability to detoxify the body. Bay leaves have quality to protect from bacterial infections, slow the aging process, speed wound healing, manage diabetes, improve heart health, reduce inflammation, alleviate respiratory issues, optimize digestion, improve hair problems and prevent certain types of cancer.

How to consume:

Most of the people they use bay leave as spices they don’t know there meditative effects, no problem! I may help you. Just kidding, this use is going on from over old days.

It is good on hair problems, if you have hair fall problem or dandruff problem then also it is good just soak bay leaves in a cup of  water  for whole night and morning after washing hair just apply this soaked water these will clear scalp and help to grove new hairs also.

Bay leaf have good antibacterial quality can help to heal any wound fast, and may help to improve respiratory system, if feeling any problem in breathing, just apply bay leaves extracted oil on chest remain it for overnight this oil treatment will help you to cure respiratory problem and clear any bacterial infection is there. For the same purpose bay leaves poultice also can be used.

Good for sore joints or arthritis affected areas just need to apply locally Bay leaves, because of it anti-inflammatory quality may feel quick relief from inflammation and irritation. Bay leaf may help to reduce anxiety, stress and high blood pressure with the aroma therapy or may be able to burn one leaf in the stressed area so can change the environment. Regular use in required quantity may be able to control diabetes, for those people who have high sugar alarm start using bay leaf as spice in your daily meal. How to Store:

Store Bay leaves in Dry airtight containers in a cool place for long time. Powdered Bay leaves likewise can put something aside for long time in same way.
