Three Types of Detoxification

Navratri special:

Happy Navratri to all. Navratri is the best time to clean your body because most of the Indians do fasting in this time and guess what this is the transition time of climate change. This time if you detox your body then you are ready to enjoy you next season. If you observe in India noted festival Shri Ram Navratri and Maa Durga Navratri both occur in the season’s transition time and we celebrate this with fasting from our ancient times because our Ancestor also knows the value of detoxification. Devotees claim that they clean the body from toxins and give their digestive system relaxation as our body needs. So let’s start with types of detoxification.

Detoxification Can Be Three Types:

Some people replace their foods with liquids and support your body’s natural detoxification process and “cleanse” your digestive tract. “Detoxing is the cleaning of your body from excess toxins, rest the digestion and immune systems, and restart metabolism” as I read somewhere that was the nice words. I remember because I thought the writer was describing the importance of fasting.

Detox means whatever toxic we are collecting in our body from air pollution, from our food pesticides or eating bad habits, and some of them we are collecting from the products with our skin touch, which we absorb into our body. To detox, our body needs some change in our eating and drinking habits. So let’s start working on your body toxins.

First, you can start with Juices and Smoothies:

You can replace solid foods with a selection of fruits- and vegetable-based juices or smoothies, which can clean your body from 3 days to 3 weeks, but in Navratri, we do only for 9 days and some of them only dose for the last 3 days. This is all up to you and your health, who much you need to this all your decision because some people don’t have habit for any type of fasting they can’t bear this liquid diet for full time than they can go for one meal as liquid and one meal as fruits and salads as your second meal.

As we are just drinking fruits and vegetable-based juices as long as they’re freshly pressed and smoothies can be healthy. These drinks are often packed with nutrients, especially if you add some veggies, and can be a great addition to your diet. Some people feel low blood sugar, brain fog, decreased productivity, and fatigue but don’t worry, it is normal because of fasting you may feel low sugar or low in protein.

We have the solution for it you can add some of the millets in your smoothies like Kodo millet, Rajgira also called “Seel” and “Ramdana” in some regions, these millets are rich in protein and make you feel for a long time. While making your smoothies you just add a small quantity of roasted millet as per you choice and make your smoothie I prefer to cook and then mix into my smoothie add some of the fruits like banana, apple, dates and some nuts for some crunchiness, after adding fruits also if you feel to add some sweetener then add 1tsp of honey. But don’t add sugar otherwise your fasting will won’t work as per your requirement.

Second is the change in Food:

People need to eat a diet that’s rich in both raw and cooked fruits and vegetables; includes soluble fiber like beans, nuts, and grains; and limits alcohol intake. In India, alcohol is varjit (not allowed) in any pooja or fasting days.

Some peoples can change their diet like if they are feeling discomfort with gluten than they can eliminating gluten products, and can exchange with a type of food for a week and see if you feel better like you can add Almond milk, Rajgira milk (just have to make like rice milk), etc..

If you are feeling discomfort symptoms like, bloating, gas, intestinal discomfort, constipation, or diarrhea then return to your previous diet and if you are having any kind of food sensitivity then you must not try your won, discuss with your doctor.

The third is Colon Cleanse:

To clean Colon we must prefer to consume a diet high in soluble and insoluble fiber to help clear out waste from your body. These fibers will effectively remove debris and undigested food particles from the colon that can cause bloating, painful excretion, and constipation.

As I know some people have a laxative to clear colon system but I won’t suggest anyone do this because this way you may feel dehydrated and weak. If you want to consume laxative than before starting this please discuss it with your doctor. I feel consuming laxatives is not good for health because it makes habitual and next time it will not allow you to go normally, and getting rid of that habit is too difficult. In place of consuming laxatives have soluble or insoluble fiber that is healthier not only for colon cleanse it is healthy for heart and kidney also.

This is my Navratri, I celebrate in this way. How is your way? Comment me. If you like it please gives one like to my blog and make me understand that what you like to know and motivate me to write some more interesting.

So, that’s all for the day “Stay healthy, stay blessed”. Jai Mata Di

Notes:

Rajgira and Koda millets make gas and bloating by nature then while having must not have very full of stomach. And also if you feel bloated then have warm water after every meal. If you see any of the foods are a negatively impact on your health than stop doing this and contact your doctor. Fasting is completely your wish but before starting talk to your doctor and if you have any illness or pregnancy then it is strictly “No”for fasting or detoxing in any way.
