Peanuts: Mungfali in Hindi

Peanuts hold great nutritional nature. Peanuts are an excellent source of plant-based proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. We consume peanuts in many forms like roasted, oil, row, butter, coated with chocolates or sugar, milk, some time in gravies and sauces. While having we ever think about how nutritious this or what are the benefits of peanuts? Today, I am going to discuss the same.

Peanuts contain healthy fat, fiber, proteins, and lots of minerals and vitamins. Peanuts are high in calories, nutrient-rich, and low in carbohydrates. Peanuts contain plenty of potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, B vitamins, and also vitamin D, peanuts helps to absorb iron and Zinc in the body not only from peanuts also from other foods.

Peanuts help to recover from Malnutrition. Consuming peanut milk will support additional soon recovery from Malnutrition. Many people can’t afford milk for their family, and their kids suffer from Malnutrition. They might don’t know that peanut milk has more protein and vitamins than cow milk. It is low cast than cow milk, you can make curd and panir (cottage cheese) from it, like regular cow milk. If you heat this milk, you can also find cream out of it.

Peanuts improve blood flow in the body and help to control Blood pressure, heart risk, sugar in the blood, improve memory, and maintain energy level. Peanuts contain high antioxidants, which help in reducing weight. Peanuts help to keep your hair black for a long time and reduce the graying process of the hair.

So, don’t want to give a lecture on peanuts. Let’s start peanut barfi, or you can call peanuts cube. It’s sweet, which most of the Indian families make in the fasting days, but you can make it as a snack item. Because I loved it and I can have it at any time. Why too late, start collecting ingredients:

Peanuts (Roasted and Peeled) – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Coconut (Freshly Grated) – 1 cup
Cardamom – 1/2 tsp

First, Make a powder of peanuts. Take Pan to add sugar and coconut cook it till sugar gets completely dissolved. In this recipe, we have to stir it continuously from start to end. Ones it is melted completely and started leaving the corner, add peanuts powder, and mix it well. Now grease the plate, spread the batter evenly. After some time, cut the shapes, as you like with cookies cutter or knife. Now, it’s time to taste, I tell you, om yummy. I am not going to share it, make it your own, ENJOY. 🙂
