Sprouts Rice

Hi all, today, we are going to make a very healthy and high protein dish Sprouts Rice. These sprouts are green moong dal / mung dal sprouts. These sprouts are high protein and high fiber, which is easy to digest and great for constipation problem people. So let’s start the recipe.


  • Rice (row) – 1 cup
  • Moong Dal Sprouts – 1/2 cup
  • Onion– 1/2 cup
  • Tomatoes– 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric– 1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder- 1/2 tsp( as per your choice)
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – As per your taste
  • Cooking oil – 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp

First, wash moong dal sprouts with fresh water and give one whistle in a pressure cooker. Now add washed row rice into it with water and give one more whistle to the cooker. Now take a pan and prepare condiments for the rice, for that add cooking oil. One it is hot, add all the condiments one by one. Mustard seeds, asafoetida, onion, tomatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala now add rice cooked with sprouts. Now add salt as per the taste. Mix it well and give a lid and steam it for two minutes. Now your sprout rice is ready to serve with kadhi or Papad and pickle. Happy weekend all.
